Kildare Down Syndrome Ireland:

Kildare branch of Down Syndrome Ireland was formed in 1985.  We are under the umbrella and governance of Down Syndrome Ireland.  We currently support over 240 member families throughout Kildare/West Wicklow.  The branch is run by a Committee of voluntary parents.

We do not receive any government funding and rely on local fundraisers and grants. All donations/fundraisers for the Kildare branch stay in Kildare for the benefit of our Kildare/West Wicklow members.  

Our Early Development Groups for babies & toddlers and preschoolers are based in ACDAL, Allenwood. Our Speech and Language Therapy is based out of ACDAL also and supports all age groups.

We have four Adult Education classes, run in partnership with KWetb called "Living It Up! - they are based in An Garrai Beag Sallins and Donadea and Pfizer Newbridge.  

We also hold many activities throughout the year such as member talks, speakers, workshops, and classes like dance, pottery, drama and celebrations at Christmas, Easter and Halloween.

We appreciate and welcome corporate social responsibility days to our horticulture sites.
